Talking head and video podcast production in London
Airframe Media films talking head videos and video podcasts in London for leaders, experts, presenters and hosts.
A typical talking head shoot is a person speaking to camera in a lit, quiet space with clean sound, filmed in your office or at a venue. We set up the camera, microphone and lighting, guide the speaker through it, and edit the result into a polished film. Crew and kit are scoped to the shoot.

Behind the Pass, Episode 1: The Mission
The first film of Behind the Pass, published on ExCeL London's YouTube channel. Executive chef Trevor and the wider Levy team explain on camera how a blank exhibition hall becomes a kitchen serving 4,000 guests. It shows how we film leaders speaking about their work.
Watch on YouTubeExCeL London Exhibitor Services
A 1:59 film for ExCeL London in which one guiding contributor leads the viewer through the venue, alongside members of the Event Services team. It shows how we film staff in a working space so they come across as themselves.

What shapes the quote for a talking head or podcast shoot
We do not publish a headline price for this work, because two jobs of the same type rarely need the same crew, kit or edit. Send the brief and we will quote it.
How Airframe pricing works- Number of speakers
- One person to camera is a simple set-up. A host and a guest, or a panel, add cameras, microphones and edit time.
- Episodes or one-off
- A single video, a batch of videos filmed in one day and a recurring podcast are planned differently. Filming several episodes in one session is often the most efficient route.
- Cameras and sound
- One camera is quick to set up. Two or more give you a wide and a close angle to cut between, and separate microphones for each speaker give cleaner audio.
- Location
- Filming at your office or at a venue changes the set-up time and the travel involved.
- Autocue and direction
- Presenters who read from a script need different support from speakers who talk from notes. Tell us which suits the speaker.
- Edit and versions
- Captions, graphics, a main cut and shorter clips for social media each take edit time.
- Audio-only versions
- A video podcast can also be released as audio. Tell us which platforms you publish on and we will plan the files.
How a talking head shoot works

Brief and speakers
You tell us who is speaking, what the video is for and where it will be published. We agree the length and the shape of each video.
Prepare the speaker
We agree the key points or questions with you. Speakers who prepare a few clear points come across best.
Set up and film
We set up the camera, microphone and lighting, guide the speaker through the first takes and film each video.
Edit
We cut out the pauses and repeats, add captions and graphics where you want them, and send a first cut.
Review
You send consolidated notes and we make the agreed changes.
Deliver
You receive each video in the formats you need, with shorter versions for social media if you asked for them.
Kit we use for interviews and talking heads
- Interview kit on our Behind the Pass series: DJI wireless lavalier microphones, an overhead boom, and an amaran key light and side light.
- Canon R5 C and Canon C80 cameras were used across the series.
- public liability cover up to £10M.

Message us on WhatsAppWhat is a talking head video?
It is a video of one person speaking to the camera or to an interviewer, usually with a simple backdrop. It suits leadership messages, expert explainers, training and social media. The speaker carries the video, so clear sound and good lighting matter most.
What is a video podcast?
It is a podcast conversation that is filmed as well as recorded, so it can be published as video on YouTube and social media and as audio on podcast platforms. We film the host and guests with cameras and microphones and edit the episode.
How much does a talking head video cost?
We quote each shoot on its own requirements, so there is no headline price. The number of speakers, cameras, filming time, location and edit versions all shape the quote. Send the brief on WhatsApp or read how our pricing works.
How long does a talking head shoot take?
It depends on the number of videos and speakers. A single video can be filmed in a short session. Several videos can be filmed in one day. Tell us what you need and we will plan the time.
What should the speaker prepare?
A few clear points and a sense of who they are talking to. Reading a full script rarely sounds natural, so we help the speaker work from short notes. If your speakers need autocue, tell us when you enquire.
Can you film a video podcast in our office?
Yes. We bring the cameras, microphones and lighting to your office or venue and set up in a quiet room. Tell us about the space and we will say what we need.
Can you film several speakers in one day?
Yes. We set up once and film each speaker in turn, which keeps the look consistent across the videos. Our interview filming page explains how that works for longer interviews.
Can you film talking heads at a live event?
Yes. We have filmed contributors in the working spaces of ExCeL London, including on Behind the Pass. If the event is broadcast live, see our live streaming page.
